The little Old Engine.

So a second foray into the murky world of eBay has yielded a lovely little white metal Fletcher Jennings 0-4-2 'Talyllyn'. I must admit this is a bit of a coup for me. Skarloey was always a favourite of mine from my childhood and I loved seeing the real thing a couple of years ago. I didn't care what condition it was in but I had to have it for my layout. The best part for me was I would get to choose the livery.

At present it is basecoated in GWR Indian red.

As for couplers I took a trip to a local model shop. I won't name names but I was practically laughed out of the shop when I asked for advice on how to fit couplers. A most unpleasant experience indeed.

However, I was saved by the wonderful team at @BronHebog who gave me some advice that I just need to find time to put into practice. Many thanks must go to Rob or Himself I can't thank you enough for being understanding.

Check them out at:

Anyway it is currently sat on my paint station looking nearly finished.
